Privacy Statement

The 3pm website collects personal data. You can find more information about it on this page. You can rest assured that we will treat your data confidentially and that we will never sell it to third parties.

Company information

We work from Amsterdam and The Hague and can be reached by phone on +31 85 060 19 28. Our general email address is info@3pm.nu.

The how and why of collecting personal data

  • When you subscribe to our blog updates, and you provide your email address, name, and company, we will use this information to email you those blog updates via Autorespond. We also do this if you request one of our free products, such as the Bike Guide. You will receive 1 or 2 follow-up emails shortly after your request.
  • If you comment on a blog on this website and fill in your name and website URL, your name will be visible, and there will be a link to your website.
  • To comment on a blog, you must enter an email address. This email address is not visible ‘at the frontend’, but we can see it in the comments section of the WordPress Content Management System (CMS).
  • We can see an IP number in that WordPress comments section, simply because these kinds of comments systems work that way.

We have access to personal data collected in the ways described above. They are stored in Autorespond, which is the software we use to send our blog updates with, and Seytec, the company that hosts this website and the 3pm email.

As long as you are a subscriber to our blog updates, your email address will be stored in Autorespond. When you unsubscribe, the Autorespond software will remove you from that mailing list.

If you comment on one or more blogs, personal data is recorded as described in point 3 here above in the WordPress Content Management System (the ‘backend’ of this website). You can find more information about the privacy policy of WordPress here.

WordPress plugins that are enabled and process data on this site

SEO

We use the Yoast SEO WordPress plugin as a digital aid for optimising this website. Read this page if you want to know more about how the creators of the Yoast plugin deal with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Subscribe to blog comments

We use the plugin Subscribe to Reacties Reloaded for people who would like to receive an email as soon as there is a new comment. To subscribe, you have to place a checkmark because this does not happen automatically. You have to enable this option yourself.

Redirects

For setting up redirects, because, for example, we want to assign a different URL to a website page after the slash or put a page offline, we use the plugin Redirection. This plugin also monitors ‘this page no longer exists’ error messages (404’s).

Spam prevention

We use the plugin Akismet to prevent spam. We have set up this plugin so that spam will be removed immediately. We don’t even see it, which means we don’t see the corresponding IP addresses either.

What you are entitled to

You have the right to access your personal data and to have it rectified and deleted. You also have the right to object to it being processed.

Furthermore, you have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of the data. The storage of new data that you subsequently submit will then be stopped.

If you switch to another supplier, you have the right to transfer your personal data to that new party.

If you have a complaint about the way 3pm handles your personal data, you have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (DPA)

Providing personal data, such as your name and email address, is not mandatory, but it becomes impossible to use our services if they are not allowed to be processed.
